Ferrari to Unveil First All-Electric Supercar in 2026

Ferrari has confirmed it will launch its first fully electric supercar in October 2026, marking a major shift for the iconic automaker. CEO Benedetto Vigna emphasized that the EV will stay true to Ferrari’s racing heritage while delivering an “emotional” driving experience, contrasting Tesla’s more utilitarian approach.

This isn’t Ferrari’s first step into electrification—its 2013 LaFerrari hybrid hypercar combined a V8 engine with dual electric motors—but the upcoming all-electric model represents its boldest move yet. The announcement underscores the growing appeal of EVs for performance enthusiasts, with models like the McMurtry Spéirling already holding the world record for 0–60 mph in just 1.55 seconds.

Beyond performance, EVs offer clear advantages in lower emissions, reduced health risks from pollutants, and significant cost savings—drivers can save up to $2,200 annually on fuel and around 40% on lifetime maintenance compared to gas-powered cars. With tax credits for EVs set to expire in September 2025, Ferrari’s entry into the EV market highlights both cultural and financial momentum for electric mobility.

Genesis Named America’s Most Innovative Car Brand for Fifth Year

Korean luxury automaker Genesis has once again been ranked the most innovative car brand in the U.S., according to the J.D. Power 2025 Tech Experience Index (TXI). This marks the fifth consecutive year Genesis has led the innovation rankings, earning a score of 538 out of 1,000. The study evaluates customer experiences with new automotive technologies, including this year’s expanded category for AI-based features.

Genesis continues to impress with advanced design concepts—such as yacht-inspired vehicles, luxury snowmobiles, and the upcoming GV90 SUV with underfloor heating and OLED augmented reality navigation. Cadillac (526) and Lincoln (523) followed close behind in the premium segment, while Hyundai topped mass-market brands for the sixth straight year with a score of 493, ahead of Kia (474) and Mitsubishi (471).

Adding to its accolades, Genesis also received a premium model connected vehicle award for the GV80’s phone-based digital key system. COO Tedros Mengiste emphasized the brand’s philosophy of treating every customer as an “honored guest” and delivering intuitive technologies tailored to consumer needs.

Luxury RVs 101: Types, Costs, and How to Choose

This guide breaks down what “luxury” really means in RVs—premium materials, residential layouts, smart climate/energy systems—and compares motorized Class A/B/C coaches with towables (travel trailers, teardrops, hybrids, fifth-wheels) so you can match the rig to your use case (weekends vs. full-time), climate, road conditions, boondocking needs, and passenger/pet capacity.

At a glance

  • Class A: Bus-style, largest space and amenities; slide-outs, king beds, full residential kitchens/baths; gas or diesel; best for full-time living.

  • Class B: Camper vans; most maneuverable and efficient; compact galley/bath; ideal for couples and urban/short trips.

  • Class C: Van/truck cab with cab-over berth; family-friendly balance of space and drivability.

  • Travel trailers: Hitch-and-go comfort; wide floorplans, safety and eco features.

  • Teardrops: Ultra-light, simple galley/sleeping; some off-road capable.

  • Hybrids: Hard shell with pop-out tent ends; airy, light to tow, quick setup.

  • Fifth-wheels: Most spacious towables; multiple slide-outs, residential features; require pickup with 5th-wheel hitch.

Budget & ownership

  • Typical ranges: Class A ~$150k–$2M+, Class B ~$100k–$300k+, Class C ~$150k–$500k.

  • Factor total cost of ownership: insurance, maintenance, fuel, campground fees; many luxury models support solar/large tanks for off-grid stays.

  • Pro tip: Rent different types first to validate floor plans, drivability, and feature priorities.
